Mrs. Theresa Garner

I am the Library Media Specialist at O. H. Somers.
Each week, I work with each class for 30-40 minutes.

Clifford_Garner Libraries are no longer just about books. Yes, we will read stories. Yes, we will learn how to use the online catalog. Yes, we will try to learn how to use the Dewey Decimal system. But, equally important will be the time we spend with technology. Basic technology skills and how to use technology will be part of the weekly time. Time may be spent practicing typing skills, searching online (and how to do it safely), creating items in our Google accounts, and learning how to do proper research.
The links on the left side of this page will be updated to provide grade level appropriate links and information about our lessons and projects.

You may also visit the O. H. Somers Library page for library related information.

A little bit about me:

My favorite books are Wonder by R.J. Palacio and The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt.

I have been with Mogadore Local Schools since 2012. Before coming to Somers, I worked for Akron-Summit County Public Library as an adult services librarian and an early childhood librarian. I received my B.A. in Education from Walsh University and my M.L.I.S. (Masters of Library and Information Science) from Kent State University. I also have a Computer/Technology Endorsement from Ohio State University.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to working with your child.
